What makes a man Human
What makes a man human,
And by a man I mean male or female
Boy and girl
What makes one human?
Is it the good will to fellow men; the tall speeches of helping one another?
Or is it the secret actions that we do for each other?
Is it the daily smiles of encouragement that we give?
Or the harsh words of reality we live?
Maybe it's all about mercy and forgiveness
But for people without those, are they human-less?
What is human anyway; what is a man meant to be?
Aren't those expected qualities just told to you and me?
We breed, we feed, we grow and recede
By violence and trickery we take what we need
Or take what we want; we're easily selfish
Increases in riches is something we cherish
By nature we argue, we curse and we fight
Yet some of us say that this isn't right
Does human then mean that we'll always be kind?
Does human require a standard mind?
Who states what is standard anyway?
Is it not those with power today?
If it were simple why would we see
A world that is filled with hypocrisy?
The man that murder or steal for his wants
Is that man less of human?
The man that heals and gives so others live
Is that man more of human?
Look at the world; examine and see
Being human is more than we admit it to be.
