Buy the Truth and Sell it Not

The world that we know of today is a lie
A system that’s set to break down and destroy
Destroy what is innocent, or pure, good and true
A system where mostly the wicked get through

For one to sustain and uplift in this place
It’s set for indecent and corrupted actions
The ones who are truthful are never the ace
They falter and fall into dissatisfaction

It’s rare for the good to have everything covered
They labor in earnest but all is devoured
They’re tested quite daily and pressured to sin
Though harder they labor, it’s harder to win

The wicked still prosper by using their lies
Thus some good men stumble and fall to the ground
A flood of deception to drown all the wise
Some regain composure while others stay down

It’s why good men daily must buy of the truth
The truth is refreshing and keeps up their youth
Despite of the refuge of lies and deceit
The truth taken daily will strengthen their feet

And those in deception are dead while they live
The wrongs of their living to them only right
They cannot see clearly nor even perceive
But woe for their taking of darkness as light

The truth will be hurtful at least for the while
But still at the last those who buy it will smile
And those who have chosen to sell it away
Will slowly but surely be moved out the way
