Tongue Tried and True: Psalms

All flattering tongues shall be cut off
As the tongues that speak proud words
Don't backbite with the oration
That you may dwell in the Lord's nation
Keep the tongue from speaking evil
And your tongue from speaking duplicity
Don't give your mouth to speaking evil
Nor your tongue to framing deceit
Cry unto God with your mouth
And exalt him daily with your speech
Speak of God's probity all the day
Compounding those who'll stand in your way
Let your speech be of the word
And the commands which are righteous heard

Slow but not steady, go but not ready I'm just sitting on earth doing nothing already Every day every hour I'm just lazing around And I'm all about sleep because I'm feeling all down Spending most of my day as I listen to sounds There are  things to be done There are places to be gone I know I must do it but I haven't begun Must muster the will to fire the gun But I would rather run Though my body feels like it weighs a tonne Yes my flesh is weak at every turn So I stare at the ceiling or look out the view Or I start daydreaming about a thing or two But I never get started on items of taste The doing of the nothing is all such a waste This cannot continue; this useless state No time to be idle must demonstrate Let the will of action be transferred to me And with wonderful wisdom let me start to be It is time, yes it's time for productivity Move on out of this spirit of despondency Set the switch of my power on priority Set the mind o...
